Although Hua Hin is officially a city, it has a small-town feel and it is quite easy to get around the central area by foot or by using the local tuk-tuks and buses. Your hotel will be able to provide you with a map of Hua Hin or you can visit the very helpful tourist information bureau which adjoins the Municipality Office. Central Hua Hin has plenty of options for dining including Thai and Western food. The Chao Talay restaurant is recommended if you like seafood or for a cheap and tasty treat head to the Night Market.
Baan Bayan
![]()
Originally built in the early 1900's, this boutique beach hotel still retains the look and feel of a beach house. Careful attention to detail has ensured that the hotel has lost none of the charm of an original Thai-style colonial house. Baan Bayan has an excellent beach-front location in Hua Hin at a point where the sand is particularly soft and white. Sun-loungers are provided on the beach for hotel guests or you can sit in the shade of the pretty courtyard garden or relax in the pool. Hua Hin's main Night Market can be reached within a 15-20 minute stroll whilst a lively local market and a modern shopping mall are both located within a few minutes walk on the opposite side of the road to Baan Bayan.

The Baan Laksabuha is named after the resort founder, M.L. Laksasubha Kridakon, who is the great grand-daughter of HRH Prince Krisda Bhiniharn Krom Phra Naresa Varariddhi. The Prince was the first member of the Thai royal family to build a summer palace as his family home in Hua Hin and today the resort lies within the grounds of that same family home. Although the hotel has aristocratic connections it still remains intimate and welcoming with each of the 16 white two-storey villas divided into two to provide 32 guest rooms.
